All Vibes: For Those Who Stream, Scream & Dream—No Limits, No Filters, No Apologies
Founded in 2008 by Tricia Chérie, then an undergraduate at the University of Mary Washington (UMW), No Apologies Magazine began as a creative outlet for the content she was most passionate about. What started as a personal project quickly grew into a collaborative platform, uniting a dedicated team of editors, writers, and designers to create a magazine that fearlessly explores music, art, and culture.

No Apologies first gained traction through grassroots distribution—appearing on college campuses, in local bookstores, and at Plan 9 music stores along the Northern East Coast. With its bold voice and boundary-pushing content, the magazine developed a devoted following.
Like many indie publications, it faced challenges when its team graduated and navigated the realities of adulthood and

a rapidly evolving media landscape. After a two-year hiatus, No Apologies returned in 2014, reimagined as both a vibrant online magazine and a nostalgic, ’90s-inspired print zine. Today, it continues to captivate readers with compelling interviews, thought-provoking op-eds, personal essays, reviews, art, and poetry.
Now pursuing her master’s degree in journalism at NYU, Chérie brings fresh perspectives and renewed energy to No Apologies. Her journey as a journalist continues to shape the publication, keeping it at the cutting edge of music and culture—while staying true to its unapologetic roots.
