EMMURE Play at Amos’ Southend
By: Savannah Cotton
Amos’ Southend. Friday, December 19, 2014. 7:05 p.m. Six bands. Large, loud crowd. Brutal pits. A punk kid’s dream.
The band started in Fairfield, Connecticut in 2003. Now with six CDs, two demos and one DVD, they are touring all over the world. All night the fans were cheering for Frankie, the lead singer. Finally, they went on. EMMURE. The set was rather big and placed nicely. With all that room, the guitarists and bassist switched places frequently. No one was standing still. The crowd was jumping and moshing and head-banging. Even Frankie was dancing! They sounded amazing and with their heavy breakdowns, I know EMMURE gained more fans. It was a great show. Throughout the night, I’d stop and think to myself that this is where I belong. This is my home.
